About Demoncheese Designs

Demoncheese Designs is a showcase site for freelance website design and development work, built out-of-hours, by Philip Cole. Based in Hailsham, East Sussex, Demoncheese Designs has created a number of websites for both local and International clients for exceptional value. With no advertising Demoncheese Designs continues to flourish based purely on the word-of-mouth references from happy clients.

Commercial Experience

Phil has worked in the IT industry since finishing a BSc (HONS) Computer Science degree in 1998 using a range of programming languages and tools. Initially starting out in database development Phil moved to website development in 2000 and has since worked on a large number of projects including large corporate intranets, secured and encrypted company extranets, live and on-demand video streaming, large e-commerce applications, psychology profiling systems, desktop applications and countless 'normal' websites.

Accessibility & Usability Training

Along with the commercial and freelance development experience, Phil has also recieved European Commission funded training on website accessibility and usability through the Tenuta project. The Tenuta Project was funded by the European Commission to provide accessibility and usability support to projects funded under the eTen Programme.

Instilling a real passion for ensuring that websites are accessible whilst still looking great has helped Phil be an important resource for the companies he has worked for since the training, and has helped to ensure that the websites created are highly accessible.

Although having both designed and developed a number of websites, Demoncheese Designs has partnered on a number of occasions with a professional designer, Hannah Macdonald to provide a full brand, print and development service whilst also speeding up the development time.
